MUTA was a free Chinese AI vocal and speech synthesis program developed by Xiamen Youta Animation Technology Co., Ltd. released some time around 2015, and was discontinued around 2021. It is AISingers' predecessor.
MUTA to AISingers[]
AISingers and MUTA are developed by the same company, meaning they had the rights to retired vocals from MUTA. Vocalists from MUTA, Yan Xi, and Liliko, were revived by porting their MUTA 3.0 voicebanks into the AISingers program. Though these two were later given AISingers 2.0 voicebanks, with newly recorded samples.
Basic Information[]
Besides being a singing synthesizer, MUTA also had the ability of speech synthesis. Before retirement, Yan Xi was given a speech voicebank; And was the only vocal capable of speech. The "MUTA" program ran on a PC, while the "MUTA App" ran on a smart device, and was only accessible in China.
